Advice please

Hello all,

So this year I will definitely be getting a mortgage, however, I have a few questions?

I’m on 22500 going up soon to 24/5k very soon.

I pay 200 child Maintanence.
I owe 5500 on CC’s and have 2 overdrafts, 1 for 250 and other for 1250.

Should I clear cc’s first or overdrafts? In my current position, would I actually be able to get a mortgage?

Thanks

    As much as you want.

It's borrowing which is the tricky bit.

Clear as much as you can - you should be able to get so sort of mortgage yes.

Without knowing your cash deposit and the amount you want to borrow no one will know if you can actually get one.

How much deposit do have and what's the source?

All very well owing a large amount on credit cards and having overdrafts. However home ownership comes at a cost. There's not just a mortgage to pay. Improving the state of your finances generally. Will have an impact in the longer term.

Put the details in lender affordability calculators and see!
