First time buyer credit check

Hi all, hope I could get some advice here on this.
Me and my wife we use a credit card (same account) for every day shoppings, etc.. but no bills. So then we pay the balance every month half each (it’s anywhere between £400 to £600 pm). We do this just so we know how much we spend and that we can half it easy.
Now, do we stop it before we go to a booker and apply for any morgage as it may be seen as we are in dept every month even though we are not?
