You can get more free bulbs (CFL's) from your own power supplier and your council. They have to give out these under the Energy Commitment as told to them by the goverment. Just give them a call! There's more...
Energy saving lightbulbs last around 10 times longer than ordinary lightbulbs and can save you £7 per year in electricity or £60 over the bulbs' lifetime! How many bulbs do you have in your houses?? I am rubbish at maths but that isn't to be ignored!
ALSO:j
You can get FREE cavity wall and loft insulation, even if you just need it topped up, as well. Just ask when you call.:T:T
To really find out everything you can get, as well as impartial advice (government funded) call 0800 512 012 and it will put you through to your nearest centre. They will also give you advice on how to reduce your bills too ( handy with even MORE price increases).
Tell all your friends and family too as there are an extra average 60,000 extra deaths in the winter months in the UK connected to cold related illnesses.
Some people , if on those benefits, or more vunerable (disabled, young children, ill or older etc...) can up to almost £3k towards a new heating system throught the goverments Warm Front scheme if needed. BUT use all the power supplier councils and other schemes energy related measures FIRST other wise the warmfront grant will get swallowed up with the other stuff that could have been free from else where.:T:rotfl:
Keep warm, healthy and solvent I say!
PS If you get stuck with anything just let me know.Green and minimal chemicals is the new black- I know a fair old bit about sustainability, specially energy and transport stuff. If I can help- please ask!0
