NatWest ftb, who's with me?

Options
First time buyers here
Applied for our mortgage on Monday 11th Feb via broker
Hubby earns £42,000 with overtime and bonus. I have cb and ctc totalling £6,000
Advised we have been accepted for credit checks and affordability.
Mortgage approved depending on tax credits award letter and valuation.
Submitted today, 16th February

How long will we now be waiting to hear?
What could potentially go wrong?
We have instructed a solicitor and provided all information.
Are we very likely or not very likely to be given an offer?
Anyone else at a similar stage?

    Hi!
    We’ve gone through NatWest too!!
    AIP recieved 09/02/19
Our broker put our full application in 15/02/19 (last night)
She’s got back to us this afternoon saying application has been accepted and documentation is getting reviewed, valuation has also been instructed. (Seems very quick!!)
Has anyone any ideas how long before we hear??
Does this look reliable that we will get the mortgage offer??
  • Yes, we were told we had been accepted that same day. But as it still needs to go to the underwriters we're still waiting and hoping it will go to offer.
It's been more stressful than I thought!

Very stressful! I feel like I’m living in these forums looking for advise of others!
Did you get told your valuation had been instructed straight away too?
  • Yes we did and the money was taken the next day. I feel like I'm sitting on pins!
Praying we hear something this week.

Ours included a free valuation so no fees were taking but I have no idea when it is... just hoping that because we’ve passed the credit checks that it’s positive. X

    Did you hear anything back?
  • We've had the valuation done, the lender wants to query something but the surveyor hasn't answered yet so it's holding it up a bit. Our mortgage broker assures us this is very normal.
    How about you?

Wonder what the lender needs to query? Is it regarding the valuation?
Well I’m using the NatWest tracker and payslips/bank statements are ticked and showing as completed but our valuation isn’t until Tuesday... so I’m not sure?
  • Any news? We had our offer last Wednesday!
