Harry Potter & The Order of The Phoenix £9 in Morrisons

Was in Morrisons this morning with OH who spotted this at £9.00 for the 2 disc DVD and grabbed it quick. :T They were selling like hot cakes!
Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, today is a gift - the present. ;)

  • Bought my HP dvd in Tesco yesterday where it was on offer for £8 if you spent £30 on other shopping (the DVD counted for £14 of the £30 IYSWIM). Visited other Tesco today and they had sold out!!

Glad I got my copy sorted ;) .

You can get a box set of the first 5 films (inc. Order of Phoenix) at HMV.com for £24.99- it's in this week's newsletter.
  • Just bought 3 copies of HP5 with my shopping - got them for Christmas Presents for people. Got discounts on all 3. There appears to be nothing in their T&C's to say one per transaction/person, etc.
Technically it may be possible that you could just buy 3 copies and nothing else as the DVD can be included within the £30 required spend.
3 x £14 = £42, £6 discount on each = £24 total spend..... It's worth a shot if anyone needs some for presents. It'll be interesting to know if it works.

    Enjoy!

I went to Tesco's today (18/11/07) and spent £30 including the £14 that the DVD cost and they refused to give me the discount. They said I couldnt buy anything else in additional because they couldnt think of a way to put it through the till and the only option was for me to spend an additional £30 or bring back all my shopping, they refund it all and I choose additional items then they charge me again.

 Its so unfair, other people have had the discount :(

I told them it didnt say anywhere that I had to spend £30 in addition to the cost of the DVD, they didnt check anything. I'm thoroughly unhappy.

    Help and advice please!!

Their advertising specifically said "includes full cost of DVD". Last week, as mentioned in a previous thread, I went to customer services, after not getting the discount, and they gave me double the difference back without question so the DVD cost me £2. I noticed that the promotional blurb had been removed today.

In your case you should have at least asked for a refund on the DVD.

They refused to give me the deal too.

I wish I'd known about the double-the-difference offer. I got my discount only by having to resort to a full-on argument with two members of staff at the till, which involved being escorted to the DVD display only to be told "Oh, sorry, you're right".
