Mortgage and convictions

My girlfriend is looking to apply for a mortgage I will be moving in with her but I won't be on the mortgage. Will the mortgage company ask about my conviction and will it effect her application or is it a case she is applying for a single mortgage so they won't care. She can afford the mortgage without me moving in so there no affordability issue.

Doubt the lender will be interested, but it might be relevant for home insurance.0
