Okay i think i've found the solution for chrome

Install the extension HTTP Request Blocker (https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/http-request-blocker/eckpjmeijpoipmldfbckahppeonkoeko/related?hl=en-US)

once installed add the following address to the extension:

    *://resources.infolinks.com/*

That should kill the http requests immediately. So far it's working.

    Great find AR2012.

To add a little more detail.

    a) Go to the Chrome Web Store link HERE

    b) Click on the blue button "Add to Chrome"
This small logo will be added, usually to the right of the address bar

You can close Chrome Web Store and then:

    1) Click on the small logo

    2) If the box contains *://*. then go to step 3, otherwise click on "add new"

    3) Copy and Paste the following into the box
    *://resources.infolinks.com/*

    4) Click on "Save"

The box should now appear as below, with just 1 Pattern saved.
Click anywhere outside the box to close it

You are probably blocking *://*. which may have come up as a default when you first clicked on the small logo. If this appears in the box click on the "X" to the right to delete it then save. I have edited the instruction number 2) to hopefully avoid this.
