Help!! Hassle from GE Money

Hello all,
Im new to writing in the forum, but always read the threads, so now im asking for a bit of advice, bear with me if i ramble on!!
Basically we decided to remortgage, and pay of a loan to the dreaded G E Money.
We got settlement figures for our old mortgage and the loan. All was paid off, and even had enough left over for a car and improvements to the house. :T
Then we got letters from G E Money saying we owed an extra £500, since the settlement, and had to pay it as there would still be a charge on the house. I rang them up explaining the situation, but they just got all clever saying we owed it and had to pay it. She even tried to tell me they had the deeds to the house, sorry but i aint that daft!!!
Before the loan was paid, it was going to the claims court as we had missed a couple of payments, (the main reason to remortgage really). But it was all paid of before we even got a court date. I informed the court as soon as we had a letter for them, and they replied with a letter saying everything was vacated and even G E Money's own solicitor said the account had been redeemed.
If your still with me thank you, and how do we go about trying to get rid of G E Money and this so called debt, that me and the hubbie are sure we dont owe.
Many thanks in advance.

The only way to resolve this is to get a closing statement from GE. That will show all the transactions on the account and will give a final balance.Don't lie, thieve, cheat or steal. The Government do not like the competition.

I'm sorry, I don't apologise. That's just the way I am. Homer (Simpson)0
