Re-mortgaging while in a temp job contract

Options
Morning all

I am due to re-mortgage on my house soon, however, I was recently made redundant from my job role last Nov and have been temping ever since.
Question is will I struggle to get a new mortgage deal from lenders if im still only in a temp job role at the time, should this happen?
My partner is in a permanent part time role as well.

Thanks

Have a look at your customer retention products on your mortgage portal for your lender, you won't be credit checked nor asked to provide proof of income

  • is that correct csgohan4? Not Credit checked or asked to provide proof of income?
I am thinking about possibly staying with my current lender as they usually do some pretty good deals

as long as you don't change anything else like amount term it is often a simple on-line switch.

    which lender?

Changes would include borrowing more, changing the term up or down and moving house.

If you can switch online with Coventry then you are in a perfect situation.

Is it worth phoning the Coventry to make sure that proof of income is not required for a product transfer when my Fixed Deal ends, or has anyone had first hand experience with them in this?

Online retention deals are just that, only online, if you need to phone and you want to switch they may want to do a full credit check, check your online portal

As soon as contact is made. Lenders are obliged to review a borrowers financial circumstances in order to enure that the correct advice is given. Start on line.
