Income verification

I am going to be applying for a new mortgage very soon.

My salary from employment is £32k.... And has been since I returned from maternity leave in September 2018. Due to being on maternity leave for some of this financial year.... My salary by the end of March (which will be one of the payslips I provide as proof of income) will only be £22k......

The previous tax year my income was only £13k as I was on maternity leave for a large chunk of that tax year. This will be shown on my self assessment ( I am also self employed and using this income to support my application also).

Will this matter..... Or is it my current payslips that will support my application?

I have been in my current employment since April 2017.

Thank you
