Mortgage and salary increase

Hi all, i was wondering if you can assist.
I am looking to get a mortgage.
I have been with the same employer on a ful time contract for the past 11 years and have recently been given a promotion. I have been acting up to this job for the past year on a temporary basis but now have been made permanent in this role. I have been paid the higher salary during this period.
Can you advise if i can therefore apply for a mortgage on my new wage? Or do i have to wait for three months to pass as if i got a new job?
Thanks in advance.

You can apply straight away on the new wage, as long as it is evidenced on your payslip, There is nothing wrong with applying just before your payslip but you will need an accurate net income figure for your mortgage applicationI am a Mortgage Adviser
