R85 does not apply to me, when I rejoined local government my previous Local government pension was transferred into the CARE scheme. One of the pensions I transferred in was the UGS scheme, another a very good final salary scheme and the final one was a money purchase scheme.
I have checked my pension figure at 60 and at 57, there is a difference of about £3000 so that sounds fairly accurate.
In the past I was full time on a more senior grade, I’m now part time hence why my pension is more than my salary.
It sounds therefore that the online calculator is fairly accurate but I will wait for the final figure.
Thanks for your help.
Just be grateful you weren't in the Civil Service. MyCSP have no online access to their pensions and while they eventually get round to providing pension details they will not tell you what your pension iwould be if drawn early. For that they point you towards a MS Excel calculator which as far as I can see needs you to have access to a full blown copy of MS Excel. LGPS is light years ahead.
