I would have an issue living next to shared ownership/affordable housing again and I wish I asked more questions about it prior to buying my first house last year....

Since they have all moved in we now have a group of kids screaming the close down at 9pm at night still in their school clothes...…..Have seen the police visiting them……Magpies picking at their bin bags put out at the weekend even though collections is on a Thursday…….not to mention already had to give the ones next to me (not attached thankfully) a good taking to as they decided to leave a bag full of dog poo in front of my drive on purpose which I ran over which they said ‘was not theirs’ instead of putting it in the bin like the rest of us….

I will NOT be buying anywhere near affordable/shared ownership again.

Unfortunately unruly children and magpies can plague even folk who own 100% of their property as well as irresponsible dog owners.

Thank you, so much. Do you know if the housing association can't sell the house as shared ownship.. Can they just rent it out? Or are they rules? The sales lady doesn't seem to know.
  • Where are you busing the house
Can you give me enough info to identify your plot on the council planning website. Pm mr if not comfortable sharing on here

It will either be for renting or for SO. It won’t swap between the 2 but it should be in the full planning application for your development.
