As title really. Not sure what people wear or what to buy. Any recommendations also gratefully received, thanks.

2 pairs of socks if its very cold, and boots. Keep them polished and they are pretty waterproof and look smart.Mr Generous - Landlord for more than 10 years. Generous? - Possibly but sarcastic more likely.0

I have got some aldi wellies but wouldn't want to walk far in them, tbh. I like ceredigion's brogue boots but they are going to be out of price range. Think I'll look at some lower-price walking boots. Thanks0

I like my brogue as well but cheap they where not. I will admit to being a shoe snob but the boots I spend all day in every day are as cheap as you like.

After many years of looking for a work boot I could live with, and with no consideration given to the cost. Eventually found the Scruffs Twister. Heavy ridged with a good sole, water proof to a degree and I find them comfortable. The last time I bought five pairs for £100 and recon a pair to last 12 months. Bear in mind that I spend my life on building sites and they are abused to say the least.0 -
Quality shoes are often a good MSE buy really aren't they since they will outlast countless £30-£50 pairs.. It's just the upfront cost can be off-putting
Thanks for the link, the Scruffs look good value. I need new work boots since my old Matika ones finally fell apart last year so will give those a look.0 -
