Lloyds - can't make additional payments

Has anyone else had a problem with making additional payments?

I'm trying to pay more (via debit card) to the Lloyds credit card and keep getting an error message. Have tried to call but after hanging on the phone for 25 minutes gave up! Is it a ploy of wanting you to get a late payment fee and don't want additional payments made so they get more interest!!! Have sent a payment via my current account through online banking and will see if that works.

Sorry, you can't make any more debit card payments this calendar month because you have exceeded the maximum number of payments or amount paid. Please try again next month or choose a different way to pay.

Some lenders put a cap on debit payments.

But you can pay whatever you want through your own online banking. There's no ploy or conspiracy.

Set a payment up on your bank's internet website or App.

By the way Lloyds no longer charge a late payment fee.

There is a chance that you could be correct but the OP does not state this - he states he wants to pay a Lloyds credit card with a debit card - that could be from any bank do you not agree?

When paying Lloyds credit card from Lloyds current a/c maximum you can pay using "Pay Credit Card" option on Credit Card account is amount on statement, but if use "Make a Payment " option on current account you can pay any amount, including over and above statement balance to maybe include pending amounts.
