Morning everyone. I had a weirdest dreams last night not sure why. Plans for today sort the mountain of washing and put it away the worst bit. Do some cleaning and then I have a book I want to read. TA I can’t make the soup I went to Aldi and couldn’t feed red lentils. So will go Tesco for them in the week so make a note of the recipe so I don’t forget. Cooking a roast chicken for tea later0

The cat decided to visit at 1am last night, heard him meowing to be let in, so he slept for a bit then clambered all over me for breakfast at seven. And this is why I haven't got any animals again yet...I've lost a GSD and two cats and I wasn't really prepared to do it all over again but now I'm swinging back to thinking about having one again...Although I suppose we already have a cat, we just don't know it yet...until he tells us obviously.
Busy week ahead with visits from various people and appointments. A friend is visiting after, and I made spaghetti sauce last night so we might have it later or I might parcel it up and freeze it. A friend gave me some curry and some tarka dal so that came out of the freezer last night. She manages an indian buffet restaurant, and the food is always lovely.
It's quite nippy today with freezing rain so the fire is definitely going on in a minute. Nothing else today, just reading and watching programs about things I can't do yet but it's all going in and being stored away for future use
Gers, yep, painful and definitely weird..He is very impressionable isn't he? Very 'proper' for want of a better word, I watch it usually with my sister watching at the same tme and we text each as it's going on. Enjoy the sunshine! snoozer, glad you have someone who is sitting up and noticing things, no doubt helped by the spreadsheets, what a fab idea. Shame it was a rubbish visit SO, I ear the crank handle on the chara revving up....Wotcha Poppy, tru, hope you're having fun with your borther Holly.
Sunday salutations!Non me fac calcitrare tuum culi0 -
Morning lovelies :hello:
Well I surpassed myself yesterday did all my jobs (except the freezer sort but swapped it for a bathroom clean ) and I even took all the seats off the sofa to hoover underneath but no treasures were found, not even one of DGD hair bobbles, just plenty of dust. The sofa and Mr Fix It's chair had a wipe down too as there were a few finger marks on them. I am feeling the repercussions of that today though, as my body is aching all over.
Dad is invited over for lunch and tea today but I don't know yet if he will arrive, he will phone if he's not coming. I am doing pork chops, roasties, dutch cabbage, parsnips, carrots and gravy. All the veg is ready prepped in the freezer so there are only the potatoes to peel. I think I will make some apple sauce as there are a couple left in the fruit bowl, they were quite sour when I bought them and they still haven't sweetened up.
The DW is already doing it's thing and there is enough laundry for a load, well there will probably will be 2 when Mr Fix it has his shower and I can put his Pj's and towels in too.
I shall have to put more bird food out as it's been decimated . We even had a visit from a little wren :j it's the first one I've seen this year. I am concerned about the antics of the collared doves though, they were playing catch mein the trees yesterday. Last time we started with 2 and ended up with 15 . They were soon down in numbers when the sparrow hawk found his buffet
.
Well I suppose I'd better get myself dressed and then peel some potatoes.
Nelski keep my Dad's seat warm, he's been very good lately but I'm sure he will need a loooong trip sometime soon :rotfl:
SilverOldie have some extra hugs from me.

Im going to make roast beef Yorkshire wraps for dinner and Im very excited about this :j I got a small but tasty looking bit of beef yesterday and lots of fresh veg and I shall make a thick gravy :T

Candygirl - yes I know of the Breen family, I think one of the sons was in my year at school. 1985 was the year I used to try and get served in the eagle - usually after church on a Sunday evening
Snoozer - hope Steve is feeling better and that you get to see his specialist. It must be very worrying for you.
Hugs to anyone else that needs/wants one. Take care.0
