in Loans
Hello, I am not sure where to put this, but as it’s kimd of a loan I thought here would be the best place, however feel free to move it.
I applied online for a new mattress via Bensons for Beds, their finance company is creation. The application was referred. This morning I got an emailed to say it was accepted, so I logged in using the info provided and e-signed the agreement.
I have just logged in to Bensons and see that I’ve put a m in my surname instead of an n. Having checked my agreement I can see it is in the wrong name (by one letter) but having checked Equifax I can see that they have searched my actual credit file (so linked me to wrong name).
Does anyone know what the impact of this is? Obviously it was a genuine error, however I am worried they may decline me if I contact them (although they have searched the correct me).

Do I need to call them to let them know?
What will it look like to other companies who see a different name on my credit file?0 -
For your own peace of mind call them and ask for the spelling of your name to be corrected. Can't do any harm.0

Yes do call them, best to make sure and then you'll have complete peace of mind.0
