Chiropractor Advice

I've recently seen a chiropractor for several issues that I've suffered with for many years, I've seen various specialists on the NHS but never gotten to the bottom of my pain so somebody suggested a chiropractor.
I found the two initial sessions and report very interesting, it made a great deal of sense but I didn't like the hard sell/corporate approach (despite being told I was under no obligation).
I felt pressured into signing up for a 3 month course, attending twice a week and paying upfront, this works out blimmin expensive and simply unaffordable for me. I simply said that it was too expensive but they've booked me in for another session so I can 'think about it' in the meantime.
I am in no doubt that this treatment would probably help me greatly but while I was in there I witnessed people going in and out of his room with the sessions lasting 10-15 mins which by my calculations, means he'd be earning more money per hour than a Harley Street doctor. By paying upfront, they offer a big discount but each session still works out at roughly £50!!!
My question is, does this all sound right?
Is twice a week for 3 months normal?
I get that I've had my injuries for many years so will take time to iron out but I was told it would probably take around 24 months. This equates to almost £9K!!!!
Thanks in advance for any help

What did NHS specialists say about cause of pain?0 -
They couldn't diagnose the cause of pain, MRI scans of my spine came back as the perfect spine and no other specialist or physio could help, despite trying.Nice to save.0

Cost will depend where you are and what fancy premises he has.
But a local chiropractor charges £20- an osteopath charges £20
A physio in Edinburgh is £20 per session.
Sessions are weekly as needed.0 -
An xray and a MRI did not show up a trapped nerve on his spine causing constant pain.0

No. I've had a lot of help over the years from chiropractors and osteopaths and none have advised anything like this - quite the opposite - most say your body needs to settle after treatment, not be manipulated twice a week!0 -

Apparently studies show that sessions twice a week, as opposed to once a week or once a month, halves the recovery time (or something like that is what I was told).Nice to save.0 -
Can I suggest you have a read of this before you go back.
