Trickle vents driving me mad!

Options
As the title suggests I have some trickle vents in my bedroom window that are driving me mad! They seem to catch the wind at just the right angle for it to whistle through them all night.
Last night was the worst so far as it was particularly windy, the noise woke me up many times and there’s nothing, seemingly, that I can do to stop them.
I’ve never had these before and whilst I understand their purpose they seem to be more of an annoyance than a help at the moment.
Does anyone have any tips for dealing with them? I’ve tried opening them and closing them. Makes no difference either way.

Although they are a pain, please don't think of sealing them. They literally saved my life when my gas fire was faulty.

When it's very windy I put selotape over mine.

Sellotape, or white "blu-tack" will sort it out.

Most have an open/close feature, they flip round or slide to open/close. For everything else there's sellotape/masking tape and white tack.

Fitting bigger trickle vents or those of a better design might work to stop them being so noisy. They are cheap enough.

Please don't block them up on anything other than a night by night basis as they are part of the design of the house/flat to let it ventilate properly and you can cause serious problems if you stop this ventilation.
The comments I post are my personal opinion. While I try to check everything is correct before posting, I can and do make mistakes, so always try to check official information sources before relying on my posts.
