CROSS POSTED
Had an offer accepted on a house, £290,000... Mortgage applied for, £260,000 - this all went through with no problems. We applied directly with Halifax.
On Monday, I had a moment of "I am going to be productive" as my partner and I wanted to open a joint current account, we had agreed to do this AFTER completion as I am aware that ANY change in circumstance might have an adverse effect...
I totally forgot that we had discussed this and agreed to wait, and I went ahead with the application and ID checks - we have now had a further credit check from the new current account provider...
Ahhhhhhhhh!!!!! SO CROSS WITH MYSELF!!!!!!
I don't even know why I am posting - I am hoping someone who knows will be able to offer me advice and wish me luck... I hope I have not totally screwed up our chances of getting this mortgage!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It sounds to me that you worry without reason. I don't think it will impact your application in any way0

If it is a straight forward current account application then I wouldn't be overly worried. No credit applications though between offer and completion.I am a Mortgage AdviserYou should note that this site doesn't check my status as a mortgage adviser, so you need to take my word for it. Maybe so... The account that has been applied for has a £3000 arranged overdraft facility on it...0

Thanks - I am concerned as it has a £3000 overdraft facility attached to it, which I assume is classed as credit?0
