Return DVD player to Argos with no receipt

Need to return a 5 month old dead DVD player to Argos.

Got the picking slip still on the box, number stickers still on the box and a entry in my Internet Banking (Might have gone now though due to age) showing I paid £29.99

No receipt though.

Am I still entitled to a exchange or refund? :D

Its a common misconception that you need a receipt as proof of purchase. As long have proof of purchase, credit card bill, or even a friend as witness should suffice.

I doubt you can get a full refund though either a repair or replacement would be what the shop can do legally, although with such a little value product I am sure the shop would replace the product or replacement of similar value.

No longer a user, goodbye folks. PLEASE delete my account. Thank you

Take the packaging with the number stickers on the box into the store along with a copy of your statement/print out of your internet banking. They should offer to give you a replacement/repair depending on the value of the item.

If you have any problems ask to speak to the store manager and they should agree to it.

I was in a similar situation and phoned the store - explaining what the problem was - went in later that day and swopped Dvd player for a better one - paid the difference - really pleased!
