Mortgage rates

Options
HI, Im currently doing some research on UK mortgage interest rates. I keep reading that the 2 year fixed is the most popular option, but I can't seem to find any % figures on this. Does anyone know where I can find some actual figures? I want to know the market share of people going with 2 year fixed, and if possible also other options such as 3 and 5 years etc. Thanks

  • I doubt you'll find anything reliable.

The correct mortgage to go for is the one that is right for you.

Nationwide regularly produce statistics to the press, you could try them.
There is also the Council of Mortgage Lenders, maybe they publish stats. OR maybe they dont. But it might be a good place to try.

Picking a rate term to side with the majority does not take into account your personal circumstances.

Be smart, and speak to a Broker.
