Adding spouse to mortgage

Hi , I would like some advise , my wife and I are separated and she lives in the family home , the mortgage is only in my name , she wants to put her name on the mortgage. The main reason for this is that I can’t get a advance on my mortgage as the only income earner as my credit score doesn’t pass the bank requirements, if we put her name on will it strengthen our chances of additional borrowing as we will now have 2 incomes instead of 1.
Even though we are separated we still have s good relationship but I’m not sure if it will make any difference by adding her to mortgage
Any advice will be helpful

If the low credit score is due to not meeting the lenders affordability, then an additional income will help. Speak to an experienced broker who can assist you.
What is the real reason for change here? Your ex to be a part of the mortgage where she lives - understandable, or a requirement to raise additional funds? If it is the latter, consider alternative funding sources first. Aim to pay off your mortgage as quickly as you can, not add to it.
