Good Morning everyone. What a beautiful day!
I had a diary on here before. Stopped posting but kept reading everyone else's diaries for inspiration. I now feel ready to keep track with a diary now. Not just for money worries but health and mindfulness also.
Debt was all from a house renovation and it's coming down nicely. We have worked hard to reduce everything. We have gone without for 2 years but learned so much in the process. We now have £5600 left on a loan and £2400 From parents. Originally it was £13000. This year we are still going to pay it off as quick as possible but also have a life. Our little one is growing so quickly that I feel this is the year to take her to lapland to see Santa. This is a memory I want us to have as a family. During all this scrimping with money we learned that most fun things are free. We love walking in the country but we take a picnic now where as before it would have been a country pub.
I am trying to eat healthy and meal plan. My meal planning is a little backward. I tend to do a big shop and then meal plan from what I have bought. Hard work getting the 7 year old to eat healthy.
I have an injury which is stopping me exercise (under investigation) this has been on going for 8 months and I have piled the weight on.
Will be back later on for more of an update until then stay safe.

Hello and welcome (back) KittencatBUGGRITMILLENIUMHANDANDSHRIMP I TOLD EM! - Foul Ole Ron
It is important that we know where we come from, because if you do not know where you come from, then you do not know where you are, and if you don't know where you are, then you don't know where you are going. If you don't know where you're going, you're probably going wrong.

Thanks Uncanny.
Nothing untoward today. All bills went out on the 1st. We are monthly paid.
Been to work, just got home and enjoying a cup of coffee.
It's a lovely sunny day so may go for a nice walk after food. Thinking of a coastal walk today. Have to make the most of this weather.
Sold a dog bed on Facebook for £5 that's gone in my pot. So savings are £5! It's a start.
Washing is on. Will sort out lunch boxes for tomorrow whilst food is cooking.
I need to be organised and writing it down certainly helps.
Speak soon

good luck, and you won't regret going to visit the big man in Lapland one bit, absolutely brilliant. We did it last year (ok ok i know we should have paid it off our debt but hey, you are a long time dead right?!) and waited and waited to book. The agent kept ringing..''you won't get a better deal'' but on our friends advice we held our nerve to literally the last minute. Although I think they were starting to panic as snow was very late coming to that region last year and they started cancelling day trips. Thankfully by the time we got there there was so much snow our 4yr old could barely walk in it at times :-)Worst debt £31,746

Thank you John. I not sure if we are going to book soon or wait until last minute. Our friends went with their little one last year and had an amazing time.
Well Good Morning Diary
All is well in Kittenland. Nothing untoward to report.
DH car is going onto the garage today but we are hoping it's not going to be too much(fingers crossed).
I will just leave this here for myself and anyone who could use it today " Once you replace negative thoughts with positive ones, you'll start having positive results. ..."
I will face today with a smile.

Car was fine. No money spent.
We have been doing weekly budgets over the past few months. We get paid monthly. It's working actually. We have £30 left this week and it's a new week for us tomorrow. We need to be out of this overdraft so we can pay the debts quicker.
I've been for a run today. First since my injury 8 months ago and it was so nice to get back out there. Only went for a slow jog for 15 mins but fingers crossed it felt fine.
We are putting our houseon the market and I'm excited. I think we took on to much of a project and now the project has finished we just don't love it enough to keep scrimping and saving to repay the debt. We have seen some lovely houses on the outskirts of the village that are equally if not nicer than this house for a lot less and in walking distance of school.. It's expensive in this village.
It would be lovely to have some cash available again.
