Leeds Building Society- Credit checks

I am just looking for some advice. My partner and I had an offer from LBS on 24th January and have just signed the contract. We wait now for a completion date.

I wanted to know if anyone had any experiences with LBS doing a final credit check before they free the funds. It has only been 2 weeks since the offer issued. Do they do another hard check, soft check?

No new credit has been taken out, all debts were confirmed at AIP stage. We had the mortgage offer on the 24th, contracts have been signed and sent back. House is new and available to move right into so we just need a completion date.

Hopefully because the time between offer and completion is short they won’t need to!

I was just curious to know if any exsisting LBS customers had this happen to them? Would another hard check tamper with my report?

It won't tamper with it. It will appear on the CRA files they check.
