Electric toothbrush - one each or individual brush heads?

Myself and my husband are looking to get new electric toothbrushes, as we have had ours for years and the charges are not lasting very long. Mine is oral b 3000, husband also has oral b but a cheaper version.
I have seen some with two handles, is this a better way or cost effective way of buying? Or would you get one really good one and have separate heads (would need a decent holder with this) , or buy two completely separate ones?
Budget is up to £100 for the two of us, and I have seen oral b 3000 on offer at amazon for £35. Any other suggestions?

That's a decent brush - and one between you with separate heads is perfectly acceptable, although this can lead to problems if you need to use it at the same time! How to find a dentist.
1. Get recommendations from friends/family/neighbours/etc.
2. Once you have a short-list, VISIT the practices - dont just phone. Go on the pretext of getting a Practice Leaflet.
3. Assess the helpfulness of the staff and the level of the facilities.
4. Only book initial appointment when you find a place you are happy with.0 -
I bought this in a Black Friday deal and honestly amazed at how good it is.

Loads better than my previous Oral B.
The sonic action did take a few days to get used to but now it's just normal to me.
One charge did indeed hold for over 30 days, although from preference I do it once a week (60-90 mins) to keep it at top strength.
You can't get compatible heads which is a downside.0 -
Proper studies show that the action of the Oral B is better than 'sonic' toothbrushes. Even when Oral B brought their sonic one out the reps were apologising to us and saying it was just done due to 'market forces' to compete with Sonicare, who, as they were more expensive, people perceived it as better.
Both Oral B and Sonicare are decent brushers (I've never heard of the one linked to above) - but the one with the backing of research is Oral B with oscillating/pulsating heads. How to find a dentist.

Both OH and I have Oral B- we did the separate heads thing recently when we were away for the night but it drove me crazy for less than 24 hours so I wouldn’t recommend it:D*The RK and FF fan club* #Family*Don’t Be Bitter- Glitter!* #LotsOfLove ‘Darling you’re my blood, you have my heartbeat’ Dad 20.02.200

I don't like the idea of sharing the unit and changing heads. For one I could see myself forgetting to check I had the correct brush head on untill half way through (I am not at my best first thing) and secondly I one person has to go away (work, family problem etc) someone will be left without a tooth brush. I would definatly get 2, different colours to help with early morning brain fog!!Dogs return to eat their vomit, just as fools repeat their foolishness. There is no more hope for a fool than for someone who says, "i am really clever!"0

I personnel wouldn't share
We do now and then if one battery dies, but OMG it annoys the hell out of me. For some reason DH manages to get slobber all down the handle and it turns my stomach0 -
