Yep, it's drivers like you that mean everyone else gets stuck with all these safety systems you're complaining about. I'm sure you were taught to park a car in gear (or 'P') with the handbrake on - what makes you think you know better?!0 -

Quite apart from the safety aspect, in most automatic gearboxes that puts a lot of strain on the parking pawl. Which is one reason that folk who have to pay for their own repairs should avoid doing that :-)0
