Renting and bad credit rating.

  • Vol. reposession was easy to do once I checked with OR that all debts from it would go down in BR. Hadn't paid mortgage since May but they hadn't strated repo process, simply asked for a vol. repossession form, told them what I was goiung to do, they asked for date I would return keys and move out and official date they could repossess, handed back to them then asked for a month to move out and into new property, was fine. Didn't give them my new address details, just OR's address so they would no longer hassle me and have to deal with OR about all house details. Seems to have worked well. My house in negative equity situation so OR won't receive anything and I didn't want to try to ho9ld onto a property that was more of a liability. After BR I've got a total new start and met a new man just before BR whose African-we've just moved into together and we plan on emigrating in a few years so renting is ideal as we are not tied to a house that will financially cripple us and stop us moving when we need to. I'm so glad that BR does exist, to not have any credit, no mortgage feels so freeing...the UK has some positives but getting into debt in my opinion is far too easy and tempting here-but I'm going off at a tangent now...good luck with everything,

Thank you so much, that's really helpful and your story is very encouraging :) We're in the same position, in massive neg. equity, so like you, I assume any outstanding debt will form part of the BR. :)
You can't control everything in life....... your hair was put on your head to remind you of that :p
