in Cutting tax
I always do it about few weeks earlier, but this time running late:p
The calculations shows about 3000 pounds to pay, but once submitted, shows no bill to pay, tomorrow is payment deadline, shall I just pay or wait for the bill?
If a few day delay, any penalty?

No penalty - just interest and a 5% surcharge if not paid by end of February. The amount due takes a few dats to appear on your account - but it is due tomorrow.0

Shall I pay the 3000 pounds mentioned in the calculation?
or wait for a few day to see the bill online then pay?0 -
Leave it over night, log on tomorrow and see if the number has fed through, you still have 25 hours to make the payment.06/06/2023 mortgage mort dateJUST BRING IT0

I submitted my return on Saturday and the bill was 'agreed' on Tuesday, up until then the whole thing showed as pending , possibly because it was a weekend? HOwever paying seemed to be an issue I decided the easiest way appeared to be via a direct debit but that apparently takes 8 days so although it shows as being in the system my payment will actually be 5 days late.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. just in case, 2 minutes ago, I paid with bank transfer with my online banking.
I hope the final bill will be the same with the calculation I got from the self assessement website.0 -
I don't blame you, the number you got shouldn't change from the billing screen. Also they should see your money as of the date you submitted it, so even if it arrives at HMRC in a week they will see you sent the payment today and you will be fine. Well done on getting it done, get a stiff drink or a cup of tea.06/06/2023 mortgage mort dateJUST BRING IT0

Have you taken into account any payments on account required for 2018:19?0 -
Yes, I paid the full amount:
17-18 balancing payment. £xxxx
1st payment on account for 18-19. £xxx
Total due: £xxxx+£xxx=£xxxx
So paid the full amount0
