Hello all
Just wondering if this is a local thing to me or a wider issue.
I do a majority of our food shopping online and I’m no loyal customer. I use Ocado, Asda, Sainsbury’s, Tesco and Morrison’s for my groceries, generally rotating as I feel like and taking advance of money off coupons they may send me.
I started having problems with Asda middle of last year. One order I got, 10 out of 50 items were substituted which was frustrating. I emailed them and asked and they apologised. I gave them a wide berth for a few months and tried again, same thing happened 7 out of 40 items substituted. I contacted them again and they apologised and did send me a £10 off coupon. I tried using it for an order but the same thing happened 6 out of 31 items substituted. I was growing frustrated at this and cancelled my order with them and I’ve not used since October last year.
This week I decided to give them another try. I did an order for yesterday 12-2pm and the same thing happened 10 out of 44 items substituted. I rang them up to cancel but I’m still amazed it’s an issue. I’ve tried ordering at different times, on different days but no luck. I appreciate there will be substitutes, I expect one or two but 20% (or thereabouts) of my orders are substituted surely this isn’t right?!?!
Anybody else having issues with Asda? I live in Warwickshire
Thanks

We had the same issue last week on our food shop! 2 items didn't even get substituted, they just got left off all together and one of those items was wraps... you don't run out of wraps surely!
But out of about 40 items at least 10 got substituted and yeah two left off completely.
Won't be using them again!0 -
Hi. I use Asda Superstore online shopping (this is a Glasgow store) I get a couple of substitues each Monday but nothing that bad. My recent order gave me 2 packs of "Roses cake bar strawberry" instead of 1 strawberry and 1 orange. Other than Iceland Frozen Foods, I haven't used another home delivery service. Mines comes on a Monday morning so I guess the shop maybe have sold out of some things compared to the Friday or Saturday evening when I put the order through.
I hadn't thought of using all the stores and getting money off coupons. I just like Asda as the prices here seem fair. I think we have Morrison home delivery but it was a former Safeway and it seems stuck in a time worp and stopped going there.0
