i will fill in a SOA, but will be a bit difficult because of my sporadic earnings. i can earn money one month, and hardly anything the next. at least it will show my out goings. i'll just have to try and take an average.
regards why i'm in this situation, i lost my driving licence for 2 years, and couldn't work hence the need for credit. although spending beyond my means even while back in work has become a habit, with cards on hand.
I've just one question before i get stuck into the SOA. i've done a soft search on this site, and another site, to check my eligibility for balance transfer cards. both search's have said the details i;ve provided don't match what they have on file for me. i've tried tweaking a few things in case they have any old details, but no good. it say's on this site to contact experian, which i did. they said their shouldn't be a problem, and if i wanted them to look into it i would need to pay and become a member?? anyone shed any light on this? i've had a couple of transfer cards in the past and never had this trouble.0 -
Check that the details you have input into the sites are 100% correct - just a single typo can affect things remember. Also check on the credit club what details it has in there for you in terms of addresses etc to make sure it's showing your history.
I think you mentioned about the driving license earlier - and I get that it meant that you couldn't do a driving job. I presume you did other work during this time though - that didn't require a license, it was just that it didn't pay as well as your normal role?
You're right about using an average for the SOA - sporadic or variable earnings also mean you need to be scrupulously careful about budgeting and setting money aside in the good months to cover the bad ones. As you're currently Self Employed I assume you set aside your tax & VAT if applicable each and every month so you have it ready when you do your return?🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡
