Sorry, yes - you did state in a later post that both had been received...
Sounds like it might just be your new manager and HR not communicating!0 -
I heard that under data protection you can request the references from the organisation so you can read them? This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0

That used to be the case but has, as I understand it, changed under the new GDPR which gives references additional protection from being disclosed.0 -
Why bother with all this discussion and speculation as to what a word might or might not mean? Just answer the question concisely, calmly and accurately. If you know you are squeaky clean, there's nothing to worry about (except possibly lousy communication amongst various parties). If on the other hand you know in your heart of hearts that actually.... Either way, you've got your answer. Just get on and answer and don't waste time and emotional energy you can ill afford.Googling on your question might have been both quicker and easier, if you're only after simple facts rather than opinions!0

Send a very straightforward reply saying that no, you have no idea why they would give you a bad reference as you parted on good terms and in the intervening period they have provided you with postive references on numerous occasions. Then go on to say that if they could provide you with further information you will happily discuss it in more detail in order to iron out any concerns.0
