Calcified Fibroid

Has anyone had these?


I went for an x-ray on my left hip and now told I have to go for an ultrasound as they found a calcified fibroid. Never knew I had fibroids even though I always had heavy periods for years. Now passed the menopause for a number of years.


I was wondering if they will:


Just leave it/them alone?


Or will I have to have removal (laser or full removal of the womb)?


Sort of feeling like I have a mummified grown in my abdomen.


My GP told me on the phone and just said I would have to have an ultrasound.

I'm afraid only the ultrasound will be able to determine the way forward. Meanwhile, try not to worry and fingers crossed your appointment comes through quickly .
