hi J, as far as i know, most of us who use vinegar just use a capful of white vinegar in the fabric conditioner bit, instead of fabric softener, it really is as simple as that! i don't know if others use bicarb but i certainly don't!

I have been using vinegar for my towels and I honestly prefer it now ! My towels are tumble dried as I like the softness but since I use vinegar they are so much more absorbent than with regular softener.

I was worried they might whiff a bit but they dont !

I don't use it on clothes - what are the arguments for using it again ? I don't know why I started using it - just read about it on here so started doing it :D
  • Hmm, I'm sure I saw a recipie on here (or linked to from here) that had one part vinegar, one part Bicarb, 2 parts water, then add essential Oils. Thats what I've been using for the last year or so?

Use this on Clothes and towels, come up nice n soft.

Too tired now, will make a search tomorrow to see if I really did read it or am just imagining it!

You shouldn't use ordinary fabric softener on towels anyway because it inhibits the absorbency. I've used the vinegar/bicarb mix before, and also the plain vinegar. At the moment I'm using Tesco Value softener - 33p for 2 litres.
