NHS Pension ill Health retirement help

Hi people,
Was wondering if any one could help, I currently work as a Nurse in the NHS but have been diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis which has left me on long term sick and unable to do my job.
I have been told by occupational health that I should qualify for ill heath retirement tier 2.
The problem is I was in the 1995 section which I have built up 15 years service but automatically moved to the 2015 section as I was not protected due to my age. So if I was to go down the ill health route does anyone know which pension rules I would be given.
Any advice greatly appreciated.
Ian

I am no expert but I would expect the two pensions to be treated separately. The 1995 rules being applied to the 1995 pension and the 2015 rules to the 2015 pension. That's how they are worked out in normal retirement. If you Google there is a NHS pension question and answer section which may have give you a definite answer.0
