Today I made the stupid mistake of returning some paperwork to taxreturned.co.uk (yes I am a total idiot). After some advice I have changed my mind and would not like them to process this paperwork (they would not have received it yet). I have messaged them on their website and on their social media informing them that I have changed my mind and do not want them to process the application and will also be informing HMRC first thing in the morning. There seems to be no phone number for this company. My question is, because I am informing them of this before the paperwork would even be received do I have any right to cancel? Their website says it takes a couple of week to process. Also, does anyone have any direct way of contacting these people and what would be the best way to ensure they do not process the claim? Any advice given would be greatly appreciated!

Have you read the T&C at https://www.taxreturned.co.uk/tac/ ?

Have a look at clause 5 and 13. The bottom of the page also includes a Model Cancellation Form

I suggest you fill in the cancellation form and email to the firm using the email address in clause 13.1 asap

Thank you for your email.



We have cancelled your claim. Please discard the form when it arrives and ignore any future automated correspondence that you may receive from us.



Should we receive a completed Claim Pack from you, we will take it as an indication that you wish to continue the claim, and your claim will be effectively reinstated.



Please note should a refund come to us we will send this to yourself without taking any fees.

So it looks despite them not receiving the form as I emailed to cancel the same day they will continue the claim!
