in Cutting tax
Hi.
I started the tax year in April in my job, but left it on 5th September 2007 in order to start a PGCE course for the year. Just wondering if I'm elligiable to claim tax back, and roughly how much?
I've got my final pay statement and here are the details:
Salary: 22,259
Pay to date: 9949.82
Tax paid: 1479.68
NI Cont: 505.08
Tax code: 522L
I'm not going to be employed until September 08 at the earliest.
Many thanks

I'm no expert but I think you would be entitled to claim tax back. When I started a course I called the inland revenue and they sent me a form to fill out and I got a rebate of £700!
Good luck. x:j xxxxx:j0 -
