A father-of-two who suffered a scathing verbal attack at work has told how he shed an incredible 10 stone after being labelled 'disgusting' and a 'fat f**k' in front of his colleagues.
In just five months he dropped from 27 stone to 16 stone 8 lbs by reducing his calorie intake to just 800 per day and using Cambridge Weight Plan's meal replacement products.

Hugely dangerous and he'll put it all back on again. I lost half my bodyweight in a year doing a similar ridiculous plan - ended up in hospital needing a blood transfusion for my anemia and put it all on again a few years later.0

A lot of people on 800 a day would take Iron tablets amongst others.0

He might not put it back on, if he can keep to sensible eating. Being a chef he should be able to prepare proper meals. At his original weight he would have struggled to exercise, and it would strain his back and joints, as well as predispose him to lifestyle illnesses.0 -
TBH, in the 'before' photos he doesn't look like he weighs 27 stone - unless he's 8 foot tall. :rotfl:0

That's the trouble with fad diets. They don't teach sensible eating. He'll know two extremes and nothing in the middle. 800kcal a day isn't sensible, it's barely anything. I was a chef too. Restaurant portions and cooking isn't the same as healthy home cooking by any means.0 -
Tom Kerridge lost a similar amount, I think and has kept it off.
Maintaining on sensible eating is not a problem.Member #14 of SKI-ers club

Yes, Tom's lost lbs but is raking in ££££s with his books and TV programmes.0 -
Good on him, but meal replacements aren't the answer. A sustainable diet is best. You've got to set yourself up for life0

I’m not arguing with you. Let’s hope he can eat sensibly. I too dislike fad diets. I eat sensibly but have a can of beer after ice skating for example.0
