Issues With Companies After Insolvency.

Hi all,

Has anyone had issues with trying to use companies (financial or otherwise) after you have been declared insolvent, be it DRO, IVA or Bankruptcy? And i mean after the moritorium period and after the 6 years are up.

I know thst Natwest will never have dealings with you if you have had debt with them and been delcared insolvent but anyone else?

Once discharged from bankrputcy have you read the credit file sticky at the top of the bankruptcy forum here?...what "services" are an issue??...if your credit files havent been checked there may be something that needs attention & sorting..

Who says about Natwest?..I went bankrupt in 2006 discharged 2007 few months later natwest offered me a full account cheque book O/D...problem with banks its consistency in the end it's NEVER changed what one person gets isnt always a guarantee another will

In the end its laughable really credit is difficult when bankrupt...THEN after discharge and files are clean companies will be twitchy lending as your files wont show a complete history..best thing everyone does is start a little slow hopme shopping sim only contract mobile etc and start building from there..

I went bankrupt in 2009 and I was very surprised how company’s that were included in my bank didn’t seem to care and offered me credit for a second time.

I owed the at the time LloydsTSB and the rest of the Lloyds group a large amount. I now bank with Halifax and have an overdraft and credit card with a 10k limit. Fortunately I learnt my lesson and don’t owe anything. Argos Card was the only one that declined an application for many years. However last year they accepted me.

It seems some companies don’t care, others do but after a while will allow credit again. I expect they hope to make money out of you so it’s worth the risk.
