Bankruptcy and Vetting

Hope somebody here can help me with this, I'm filling out a security vetting form and have the following ..
Financial Position
'Please answer questions in respect of yourself & your spouse/partner for the last 6 years'
and this question ..
'Have you ever been registered as Bankrupt'
I was registered Bankrupt on 29 March 2010 and early discharged on 11 January 2011 so outside the 6 years but it states 'ever' so does that mean ever within the last 6 years or ever ever.
Just want to get this right on the Form.
Cheers

It's asking if you have EVER been bankrupt, you need to answer yes.Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.0

It says quite clearly ...in the last 6 years.
I would say no....but wait for one of experts to reply, maybe after the weekend though.0 -
I concur with luvchocolate - if the question is asking about the last 6 years, then the answer is no. It just sounds as though the person who put the form together didn't understand the question or the bit about 6 years was a later revision of the orginal form.
By answering no to a question relating to the past 6 years, you are being truthful even if the question is constructed in an ambiguous way. Keep a copy of this form in case it comes up at a later date.0 -
My concern is it can be kicked out without given a particular reason i.e. if they mean 'ever ever' and I state no then it could potentially happen. It's all about the wording and that's what is causing my problem.
I'm contemplating stating no then giving my BR info in the 'do you have anything to add' section just to cover all bases.

why do they ask, they can search anyway...
tell the truth and if they dont like it walk away0 -
Either do that or call and ask.My concern is it can be kicked out without given a particular reason i.e. if they mean 'ever ever' and I state no then it could potentially happen. It's all about the wording and that's what is causing my problem.

Don’t leave it out if there was a chance they needed to know about it.0 -
the job is in the financial sector so yes, tell them
better that now than getting escorted out the office the first month when they find out0 -

Whoever came up with such ambiguous wording for what should be a simple set of questions should be sacked if they are working in financial services!!!0
