Another way to look at this is min £per month to go to zero
You are starting now at say
18 months £13600 £756pm
every £ over £756 drops the average for the rest of the months, if you have hit Jan with £1825 you now have
17months £11,775 £693pm
How much lower can you get it for 16 months to go?0 -
I think everyone who is paying off debt over a number of years suffers this. The halfway point is a real test. You break your back to get to it but once you're there you feel like 'oh god i have to do this all over again!' I had a slip up at around the same stage. I started going out and having fun for a few months and set myself back the same amount of time. I did kick myself but in reality I think I needed it so that I didn't lose the plot completely as i live alone. :rotfl:
Have a treat - not on credit - tell yourself that it's one treat and then back on the wagon.
Imagine all the carpet you can buy once it's paid off! :T
