Having recently had a Duracell battery leak I am looking for other makes which are good but long lasting. I have bought cheap ones in the past but felt they were a waste of money asthey didn't last. I thought I had recently read on this forum a post about good value batteries but I can't find it now. I am looking for ones that I could use with a continuous power drain for clocks and weather stations.
Thanks

Lidl batteries came top in a test on a tv programme in the last year or so. Sorry I can’t remember the details but I know it is why I started buying them!0

I use the Lidl ones in clocks, seem to last as long as D'cell onesEight out of ten owners who expressed a preference said their cats preferred other peoples gardens0

I use Wilko alkaline batteries. They last as long as Duracell and are a fraction of the cost.
The only exeption is Wilko alkaline PP3 9v batteries used in smoke alarms. They seem to last no longer than their cheaper PP3 standard batteries.0
