Hi,
I design logos, business cards, compliment slips, flyers and posters etc as part of my day to day employed job. I am also self employed so am able to do work of this nature at home.
This is something I enjoy doing, so I'm happy to spend time working on designs while at home. I have had a few clients, but I can't seem to find much private work without signing up to sites that require subscriptions.
Does anyone have any ideas of where I can get extra work, or does anyone know of a reputable 'marketplace' where I can sell my skills?
Thanks!!! I look forward to the replies.

Sounds like you could do with your own website to advertise your self. You would need to submitt the website to search engins and then after a couple of months some offers should start to come through. You can get free web space and domain name from Microsoft including £5 back through Qudico. That includes use of a site building tool.
If you decide to do this and need any help just ask, i'm a web designer and i'm sure there are others on here who would help too.0 -

Hi Valentine,
I guess I would start by seeing if anyone you come across in day-to-day life like your hairdresser or driving instructor for example would be interested. I know of a few freelance designers whose mainstay is that sort of work.
However, a word of warning – make sure that taking on this sort of work doesn't put you in breach of your contract from your paid employment. I'm a graphic designer and my contract makes it clear that it is unacceptable to take on any work which may be perceived as a conflict of interest.
BrionaIf I don't respond to your posts, it's probably because you're on my 'Ignore' list.0
