How long did you go before submitting BR application?

Hi I just wondered how long people went not paying credit cards / loans etc. before submitting their BR application? Still haven’t managed to get the fees and a small emergency fund together! Some of my debts have now been sent to collection agencies 😬

9 months for me due to VR of house. I wanted all the information for when I submitted

10 years ago i was upto date with all my repayments/cards but knew it was time....

this time im dragging it out but the smallest debtor is making the most noise, i only owe them £200 and have upped weekly S/O to £10 but they keep ringing

I moved my debts into a Debt Management Plan first , with the help of Step change.

I then waited far too long before going ahead with the bankruptcy which was really my only option.

Yep bankruptcy is my only option - DMP would take in excess of 13 years to pay off! I figure BR trumps everything but obv getting a little nervous now as I’m getting phone calls and letters almost every day ��
