I am travelling in a few days. Can I trust the water bottles that the hotel will provide me, or should I bring my own water just in case?

That depends, where are you travelling to?
I wouldn't think twice about drinking tap water in Western Europe, unless there was a sign specifically saying it wasn't drinking water.
If I were in less developed parts of the world though I would have to research the local conditions.0

Would help if you say where you’re going. The water in UK hotels is fine if that’s what you’re talking about!Life is like a bath, the longer you are in it the more wrinkly you become.0

If the bottles are sealed then I'd trust them.
If it helps - I've drunk countless litres of bottled water in the Middle East over the years and I've never had a problem.0

If you're staying in the sort of hotel that provides bottled water to guests, you won't have a problem anywhere in the world.
Avoid ice in drinks, and salads (that may have been washed in contaminated water) in some parts of the world.
Where are you going? No longer a spouse, or trailing, but MSE won't allow me to change my username...0

Could you really bring enough of your own water to last for the length of your trip?0

Isn't that what you were planning to do if you couldn't trust the hotel water?0

No, the OP asked if they could trust hotel bottled water and I said "yes, if the bottles are sealed" - if they weren't I'd suspect tap water and look elsewhere for my drinking water.Isn't that what you were planning to do if you couldn't trust the hotel water?
I didn't think it was that hard to understand0
