Hi,
Update and problem resolved.
I didn't have to go in full hearted. I asked them to clarify whether they were dismissing me with 4 weeks notice and pointed them to what Citizen Advice states on the website, which points to me being sacked.
I then received a revised copy of the letter which reflects the dates on my resignation letter, being 6 weeks instead of 4.
Problem resolved.0
