I just posted free R.E.M. Mp3 downloads thread and I thought there should be seperate place for all music lovers, where you can post your findings (like free mp3 websites, new cds downloads etc - and I mean official ones and legally OK to download). Most of the artists have some extras on their official websites nowdays (i.e. Sigur Ros)...
My idea is simple: just put artists, bands name in the title of your reply and link to free music. Thanks and enjoy! :whistle: :whistle: :whistle: :whistle:16 Nov 2007

www.emusic.co.uk
Free 25 downloads on signup. Can cancel membership INSTANTLY after downloading. No quabbles.

The radiohead album. To be honest I don't particularily like Radiohead, but their new album is ok. NOTE: You can choose the price you pay. Put £0 and 0p in for the price obviously. However I do encourage you to pay at least a small bit for it if you can. However if not don't worry. Enjoy it0 -

THEY ASK FOR CREDIT CARD DETAILS BUT NO CHARGE FOR TRIAL.:rolleyes:
Nope. 100% no charge as long as you cancel in time. The credit card details are taken so that you don't cancel and keep reregistering under different names and just redownloading some more songs for freeTrust me, I have had 2 trials with them (back when they had 35 song downloads) over 2 different cards. Cancelled straight away. One problem is if you do accidently download 1 track over your limit you are billed straight away. However when this happened I dropped an email to them and was promptly refunded (was only 1 track mind, don't go over downloading
)
I think I misunderstood what you said (way too early) I'll leave what I said there to help people though!

I'm giving it a go now. Though I only seem to be getting 25 free downloads. Never mind, I'm only giving it a go to see what happens really. I'll be sure to send Ryan some nasty PMs if they keep charging my card after I cancel.
That is, provided that I do cancel. I must admit to having a soft spot for any company that is prepared to acknowledge that Linux exists and provide software.
Edit: My Linux is too old (my fault) and their software won't run. The web interface appears to work though.0 -
they charged me regardless even though i cancelled the same day as registering, it cost me £12!!!!! and they refuse to refund, beware!!!0

Hmmm. When did you register? The number at the top doesn't update straighaway (needs a page refresh) so if you go over the limit then you are automatically charged.
My refund for going 1 song over the limit took 3 days to go through as they "escalated" the complaint to senior management, but I essentially got it quibble free.0
