Queue (sic) 3 hour stay, why bother for 3 hours?
It was 1am by the time I found a hotel with room, my flight I think was five. Do you suggest I should have slept in the airport and turn up to a new site meeting looking a state and even more tired!
TBH I was tempted, I'm not one to take advantage but there was a lot more to this saga and not really relevant to OP.0 -

Did the work not book accommodation for you? Or did they book something unsuitable? Why couldn't you book in advance from your home if you knew there was no room at the other side?0 -

I think the argument is that it was because work hadn't left enough time for the connecting flight he was stuck overnight in a place he wasn't meant to be (and therefore had no accomodation - as the accommodation was in the final destination)0 -

His work were not expecting him to miss the connection. Which he did through no fault of his own so he was left at 1am stranded.Forty and fabulous, well that's what my cards say....0 -
