OR questioned spending

I've just had my interview with the OR, who was very nice. She did question some of my spending in the last six months, which I was able to explain (even though the spending wasn't necessarily for essentials). She didn't say any more about it, but I am worried now. If she thought I was being deliberately reckless would she have told me during the interview? My spending has been partly due to mental health issues getting worse and the medication I'm on, which means I often don't think about consequences. I'm thankfully getting better and am able to see how my increased spending could look to creditors. I did hear her writing down (she was talking as she wrote) that the spending was due to the reasons I gave her. Might she come back and say that the creditors think I've committed fraud or been deliberately reckless?

Don't worry vixg66. This isn't fraud and if everybody who had spent recklessly was in trouble most of the members of this forum would be included! The OR will be in touch again if there are any more questions.

Thank you Broaps. You have reassured me.

Sorting out any IPA payment is on hold for now as I may be reducing my hours due to my health (which was the thing I was most worried about but it was absolutely fine with her), so at some point we will be back in touch once I know what my situation will be regarding reduced hours & salary.

In the two months before we declared bankruptcy, we received a total of about £15,000 from the Insolvancy Service in lieu of redundancy payments etc when our own business went under. We couldn't believe it, to be honest, but it's what the company liquidator advised us to do.
Once we had the money, we spent about £8000 on replacing lots of household items, booking a holiday for this year and we also squirrelled about £5,000 of it away in cash by withdrawing small amounts here and there.
The IP - who as it happens, is the same person who is liquidating our company - has never asked to see any bank statements or questioned any spending.
There was about £3000 left over, which has been frozen, but we have been told the IP will release £1000 to pay for 'essential items'.
I think everybody's IP is different, but based on our experience, I wouldn't worry.

Thanks KatyP - I'm sure it will be fine.
