Micro SD Cards amending and deleting contents

Options
When you use a Micro SD card and download music and photographs on it can you amend or delete any of the contents. As far as the music is concerned can you transfer the music by setting up various play lists. Or once it is on your Micro SD card maybe you cannot change it all. Any feedback how you set about it if it can be changed will be really appreciated as my knowledge on such things is very limited.

You use a micro sd card in exactly the same way as you would use any other storage.

MicroSD cards are not like CD's. You can write and delete data almost an unlimited amount of times (for most use cases).
  • If you end up in a pickle with an SD card, for example with a partition you want to remove, there is a card formatting program that sorts the card easily. Windows format struggles at times. See the free formatting tool at:

  • Excuse me for my ignorance on this matter. Presumably I have to put the Micro SD card into a USB point on my PC. What exactly is my next step please. I want to delete some music and also start a play list from the music already on my Mini SD card. If someone could explain in a simple step by step guide it will help me understand and further my limited education on a technical issue.

To use a card with a computer you need a reader. Some more modern computers have them, some older ones you will need to plug in a card reader into the USB slot.
To play music you will need a music player on the computer, usually there will be a default one if you click on the file.
Then you can use the music player to make a playlist although if you point it to the music on the card and the card is removed it won't work.
For a more comprehensive answer you could see if YouTube has a video or tell us about the equipment you want to use.
  • I have a USB slot on the tower for my PC. I have downloaded music from my Music file and my Windows Media player. What I cannot fathom out like others before me on this post is how to delete items from my micro SD card which I use on my Samsung Tablet. Whilst it is not an excuse, being in the twighlight years of my life and not having been brought up in the digital revolution my technical knowledge is extremely limited. Even at my age I am trying to learn so a simple guide of how to progress will be very beneficial to me.

You'll be able to delete files on the SD card directly from your Samsung tablet.
Just open up a File Manager app (install one from the app store if there's not one already installed) and delete then with that.
The method will differ depending on which app you use.

It is probably easier to do it on the PC though, where you can work with a mouse.

Thank you all for your feedback. I am still struggling. I will try to explain how far I have got. I am able to download music from my Windows Media player on to my Micro Sd Card by inserting the card into my USB port on my computer tower. This shows up on my computer file as USB drive f. I am able to download individual pieces of music which appears in MP3 player app. This is the app I was recommended to use for use on my Samsung Tablet and the micro SD card. However once the individual songs are installed I cannot sort them , move them into a different order, or to put them In to playlists which is what I really want to do.Any further guidance will be appreciated as it willbe a shame having got a far as I have so far (A minor miracle for me) I would hopefully be able to finish the exercise. Also it will add to my limited education on such matters.
